One of the best I have tried By Book reviews Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 1, 2025

I have tried and owned a lot of earbuds now, and after owning the original EarFun Air Pro 4s, was very excited to try the new version. The originals have been one of the go tos in the community since they came out a year ago.
The case has completely changed, no longer do you get the welcome light that illuminates the interior, now you get a 1cm long light on the front that shows the status of the battery. The case is a pretty standard shape now, except for a small chin under the status light to put your thumb on whilst opening with two hands. Opening with one hand is possible, but tricky. Where this differs from most is that the top two thirds of the case opens, almost fully exposing the buds, making removal easy. Despite being fully open, the buds won't fall out when shaken.
The case can be charged either wirelessly, or by USB-C with the port on the bottom.
The buds come with five different sized silicone tips, far better than the usual three.
These are ANC buds, so will reduce external noise somewhat. I set it to max, and found that they did reduce noise, but they are certainly no giant slayers in this regard. They did a reasonable job, though. Voices do come through too, so not the best for a loud office environment where people shout down the phone. I also tried the wind reduction ANC, and found it made very little difference over the normal mode for wind. Wind is especially difficult though.
The sound is lovely, their default tuning is slightly on the warm side, I found it needs a little nudge on the EQ in the app for 4k and above to suit my taste and to get those balanced armatures working. Overall, the sound is clear and precise. The kicks at the start of SBTRKT's Wildfire really hit home with their fast attack and release. The drum at the start of Jenifer Warnes' Way down deep is lovely and detailed, not just a monolithic boom. If you push the bass right up, it can get a touch muddy, but I do not see why you would want to do that.
The highs revealed in Nils Lofgren's guitar on Keith Don't Go are delightfully sparkly, sound alive.
Mids have been ever so slightly scooped, nothing that will upset most as it is slight, and you can always put them back.
I often find The Logical Song by Supertramp can be a bit much with the highs, on some buds. Not so with these, it just sounds like a great song.
On the whole, I would say these are a step up from the originals, and worthy of an upgrade. If you are looking for a new pair of buds at this price, these would be an amazing choice. Show Full Review

EarFun have done it again! I honestly have never had a bad product from this company.
The best review I can for of the AirFun Pro 4+ is that of my mother. She listened to my pair of AirPod Pro 3’s and these right after and said she couldn’t hear any difference.
The customised options are fully on via the app and updates were given to the earphones out the box.
I honestly can’t recommend anything else in this price bracket that would beat these earphones!
100% recommended for purchase if you are looking for a new set! Show Full Review
Dual drivers is a game changer By Vinod. R Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 27, 2025

Awesome earbuds, dual drivers have taken the sound to a different level, having owned several previous earfun buds, I can appreciate the leap in should quality and the dual drivers are a game changer. ANC and transparency modes have also greatly improved. The earbuds compete with the big names, given I own several of those, it's very easy to see the quality of earfun. Overall
Some of the best fully wireless earbuds I have used. Earfun have really upped their game.
Firstly, before I review these, although I got them from the Vine programme, I bought a pair as well. This review takes into account the price of these. Although I got a pre order price at a little less than the voucher price they are sold at now. They are reviewed as the £72 they currently cost.
I am a fan of earfun products. From the original earfun Air, which won awards from WhatHifi, through the first ANC model (Air pro) to the recent open ear clips and hooks. I never used the AIr Pro 4, but I do use the Air pro 3 daily.
Packaging/Presentation.
Everything is card with little to no plastic anywhere, which is a plus, but the box is small, with no fancy packaging. To be fair, the box is robust and opens with a satisfactory smoothness. All earbuds seem to go for the minimalist approach these days. So these are not really any different. If anything they seem more premium than, say, the pixel buds 2a I opened last month.
Inside the box you get a USB A to C cable and 4 spare ear tips. With a set already on the buds that leaves 5 pairs in total. Mine came with the large already fitted. There are 3 smaller tip sizes and one larger size. You should be able to find one that gives a decent seal.
Pairing/app
These employ fast pair so that once I had removed the tape from the contacts on each bud and put them back in the case my phone immediately picked them up without having to dive into the bluetooth menu.
The Earfun app is functional and allows lots of customisation of the gestures, adjustment of bluetooth codecs and audio equality and gives EQs. In the EQ section there is a test that plays some "Drip" sounds and you adjust some sliders until you just hear each sound. This gives a custom EQ which sounds pretty good.
In this section is where my only real gripe comes in. Earfun always seem to ship needing a firmware update. And their firmware update process always seems to break something for me. Maybe it's a pixel phone thing, but I had the same issue with the Earfun Jump. After the firmware upgrade instead of just working I had glitches and sound issues. I had to remove the pairing and then re-pair the bluetooth. Everything has been pretty solid since.
It's not a big deal, but it's scary when your brand new ear buds crack and pop and the noise cancelling switches itself off and fails to work. I now know to delete and re-pair, but spent a few minutes thinking they were bricked.
3.5/5
Sound Quality
I don't have the Air pro 4. And everyone said what a leap in performance this was over the 3.
Other reviewers online suggest the 4 and 4+ are similar and this is a minor upgrade over the 4.
I can only comment on these, and say that they are fantastic. The instrument seperation is first class, the overall clarity is superb. Earbuds rarely give me a good soundstage and these are no exception, but stereo tracks that flick L and R, like Pink Floyd - Wish you were here - really showed off some seperation and had me experiencing the sound coming from a little further out than my ears. This is an achievement.
Bass is adequate, there is little sibilence to treble and there is an avoidance of the muddiness that plagues the mid range and budget market.
Overall I would say these sound great and I would push clarity as their major selling point.
5/5
Noise Cancelling.
Again, a major upgrade since the Air Pro 3. I read reviews saying it's possibly worse than the 4's.
All I know is that in the app there are lots of customisation including wind reduction mode (wind ruins ANC for me, so this is a great addition), and several AI modes to "tune" the ANC for what you need.
I think this is remarkable and that others are saying the 4's are slightly better shows just how far Earfun have come over the years.
4.5/5
Comfort
I have no issues finding a tip that fits and they stay in fine. Usually I like to switch to foam tips for better isolation, but I am quite enjoying the stock tips.
There is a little "pressure" change when switching ANC modes, which I guess could be uncomfortable for some, but this is no more pronounced than Technics AZ80 or Sony WF1000XM4's attempt.
4.5/5
Final Thoughts
These are remarkable for the money. They sound fantastic, have loads of customisation and offer decent noise cancelling.
If they used some more premium materials like brushed aluminum, and had a well known name like my Technics AZ80's then I swear the Hifi world would be going nuts for them. Instead they plump for plastic and a name that has people saying LOL what? when I mention them.
And I am absolutely fine with this. You see, if they appealed to the masses then these would no doubt end up costing twice as much and still sell.
As it is, you get a pair of earbuds that sound like they are worth twice as much and all you have to do is put up with plastic and a less well known name.
I'm sold and so should you be. Show Full Review
Richest sound I've heard yet, well done to Earfun By Az Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 30, 2025
Color:Black | Verified Purchase
I wasn't expecting a huge difference in sound quality in comparison to my air pro 4s, but wow the dual drivers make the sound quality 10x crisper. I kept on taking these out, and putting in my 4s to compare them, and the 4+ were way ahead in sound quality. The battery is now also more accurate, telling me every 5% rather than 10%, and there are even more customisability features within the app. The only slight issue I'm having is with dual connection, which isn't very smooth, but it may just be a faulty unit, and I will be contacting Earfun customer service in regards to this. Other than that slight issue, these are a no brainer for anyone looking for best earbuds around £100. I've been using earfun products since the Air pro 3, and they've smashed it once again.
