EarFun Clip 2 - Black

I had never heard of clip-on earphones before finding these, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. They’re very comfortable, even for extended use, and they are rock solid — I can shake my head violently and they hold on.

The sound is crisp and clear. The large drivers (for earphones) certainly contribute to that. These actually sound a bit more like wearing headphones with one exception — while bass frequencies are present and sound quite natural, the bass volume is pretty low, even compared to other mid-tier earphones like Apple AirPods. I even watched portions of the movie Dune (VERY bass-heavy) with these and it was kind of strange to hear audio designed with a heavy bass foundation sound so clear and balanced but without most of the bass present. This detracts from the experience of listening with these somewhat, but I should be clear that even despite this limitation — which I assume stems from the difficulty of producing base from a small package outside the ear canal — the sound from these earphones is very clean, pleasant, and balanced.

Sound seems to be directed into the ear well without a lot of leakage away from the user. Other people nearby may hear that something is playing, but will probably not be able to hear what it is.

Pairing was straightforward and the connection has been stable. Qi charging is a very convenient and appreciated addition.

I’d recommend these earphones as a cost-effective option for pleasing sound in situations where headphones are too big, other earphones might fall out, or the ear canals need to stay unobstructed for safety or practicality of hearing environmental sounds. This is the third pair of Clip 2.
The audio is so good, but another store doesn't have white, so I buy it here.
First time use: pairing
It's kind of headache. Make sure the protective tape on bud removed and press the button by the charging port, and pair.
After pairing, go to the app to update firmware to 0.3.0 (or higher) for more consistent experience.
Battery seems to be good even LDAC is active (this is a must for Android device)
It stays on the ear for longer without removing or taking a break. The fitness is great for extended listening.
Calling seems to be fine as the other end doesn't have problem hearing my voice.
The real button is a major plus as it doesn't have operation problem.

I have tried many different earbuds to use around the home and when running. These are the best ones:
- Easy to hear what is going on around me (cars when running, family members talking to me).
- Super comfortable to wear. I keep them on a lot, even if talking with someone else and they are not playing.
- Physical button is great and easier to operate than touch sensitive that some other clipon earbuds have.

These are legit!! For the price, totally worth it, I also own the shokz opendots, have owned several different earclips and these are not as good as the opendots, but close..and for a fraction of the price..comfort, battery, sound, call quality..worth it for sure if you like this style.. EarFun Clip 2 Review

The EarFun Clip 2 represents a clear and meaningful improvement over its predecessor. From initial use, the device demonstrates a more refined design and a noticeably gentler fit, contributing to enhanced long-term comfort. Audio performance has also been elevated, with cleaner output and improved clarity across a wide range of listening scenarios.

Following a recent firmware update, the overall user experience has further stabilized, with no significant usability concerns observed. The sound profile is well-balanced, offering crisp highs and controlled mids that contribute to a precise and enjoyable listening experience. These improvements in clarity are particularly evident when compared directly to the Clip 1.

The device continues to distinguish itself through an advanced and versatile feature set. Real-time translation capabilities are highly responsive and support a broad range of languages, extending the product’s utility beyond conventional audio applications. The companion application is equally robust, offering multiple preset sound profiles, a customizable equalizer, and dynamic noise control (DNC) with several adjustable modes.

A notable recent addition is the introduction of tonal audio prompts as an alternative to traditional spoken voice notifications. This feature provides a more subtle and less intrusive form of user communication, enhancing the overall listening experience by minimizing interruptions. The tones were developed through a collaborative effort between German musician Tobias Philippen and audio specialist Christoph Gerardts, resulting in a cohesive and thoughtfully engineered auditory system. This enhancement is available via firmware update for both the EarFun Air Pro+ and the EarFun Clip 2.

From a design perspective, the charging case retains a similar footprint to the previous model, with a slight increase in length. The updated black finish presents a modern and understated aesthetic, though it does reduce the visibility of the “EarFun” branding in lower-light environments. Additionally, the right-ear indicator has transitioned from a clearly visible red band to a more subtle marking, which may be less immediately distinguishable for some users.
