Impressive!!! Great bass and vocal clarity at this price point By Emole Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2025

I am seriously impressed by what this speaker offers. The clarity and vocal/instrument separation with great bass is unmatched at this speaker's capacity and price. I bought my during a promotion for $109, and I actually bought others speakers like the Sony XG300, W-King D10 and X10. Zealot s78 and S79 for comparison, all below $110 value (I also wanted to compare with Tribit StormBlast, but it was priced at $169 which is way above the price range I wanted to stick to). In my comparison, the EarFun U Boom X pulled ahead of all of them in quality, sound, value for money and overall satisfaction. I returned all the orders to amazon and kept this one as my winner.
This speaker packs a lot of features. Bluetooth, app support, great sound, built-in microphone for calls, support ai assistant from your phone, usb c fast charging, phone charging, and great app customizations with many preset EQs to select from - I love the "Bass 3" EQ setting.
You will definitely not go wrong with this speaker. Of course, no speaker is perfect, and if you push this one beyond it's limit, you will notice it. This speaker maintains it's clarity even at 100% volume for songs with good dynamic range but those songs with too much bass and very loud, at 100% the speaker might be stressed a bit - you will have to listen well to notice it.
The weight of the speaker is just right to be carries around, and it feels my office sufficiently well. I am impressed with this speaker, and I believe you will too especially if you pick it up on a good deal like I did. I highly recommend the speaker. Show Full Review
Great Sound, Impressive Power By Caleb Coffie Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2025

Excellent portable speaker that delivers way more sound than expected. The 80W output with JumboBass really packs a punch - honestly, one speaker is loud enough for most situations.
Sound Quality: Rich, full sound with solid bass response. The custom EQ lets you dial in your preferred sound profile. Bluetooth 5.3 connection is rock solid with good range.
Features I love:
- True wireless stereo pairing (bought two for this feature)
- 30-hour battery life is no joke - lasts multiple camping trips
- IP67 waterproof rating gives peace of mind at the beach
- RGB lights add nice ambiance
- PowerBank function to charge your phone
Build quality feels premium and the speaker handles outdoor abuse well.
One minor complaint: Wish the wireless stereo pairing instructions were printed on the speaker itself. Had to dig through the manual to figure out the button sequence for syncing two units together.
Bottom line: Unless you need to fill a huge space, one speaker is plenty loud. The wireless pairing works great once you know how to set it up, but the process isn't intuitive without instructions.
Great value for the features and sound quality you get. Show Full Review

I absolutely love this new speaker from EarFun and after having it for a few days, I have to say I am impressed with what this speaker has to offer. Inside the box you will get a strap, a long USB-C cable, owners manual and the speaker. This speaker I have to say is heavy so the built in handle and strap works well with carrying what this speaker has inside to give its boisterous appearance and sound. The speaker weighs about 9 pounds or 4.15 kilograms. The build quality is great on this speaker and is made out of premium materials. The speaker on top has a built in handle with two aluminum hooks to attach the supplied strap to. Underneath the handle you will find 7 buttons (power, Bluetooth pairing, volume down, multifunction button, volume up, light control button and, party mode button. On top of the multifunction button you will find four leds which displays the battery level, ontop of the Bluetooth button is an indicator led and the power button has an indicator led which lights up when the speaker is powered on. On the front of the speaker you will a metal grill with the EarFun logo in the middle which underneath the grill you will find two 4 inch 30 watt woofers and two 20 mm 10 watt silk tweeters as well as two leds which light up when the speaker is powered on and which you can change and adjust in the EarFun app. On the sides you will see a passive radiator on both side and on the back you will find a rubber flap which underneath has two USB C ports (In and out) and an aux port. This speaker is also ip67 rated which means this speaker is dust proof and water proof. I only have one uBoom X speaker so I was not able to test the stereo mode or party mode on this speaker but supposedly you can pair up to 50 of these speakers for party mode and you can’t pair to other EarFun speakers.
App:
The EarFun app is a must with this speaker. Once you download the app you will be prompted to download the latest firmware for the speaker which at the time of this review is 0.39. In the app you will also be able to adjust the EQ settings yourself or select through a variety of different EarFun preset EQ settings or seven different tunings made my Oluv which he made for this speaker. You also will be able to toggle through different light settings as well as select video mode which lowers the latency on the Bluetooth connection.
Sound:
This speaker packs a great punch. It has deep lows, great mids and, crisp highs. I also toggled through different EQ settings and found zero distortion regardless of which EQ setting I selected. I also toggled through Oluvs EQ settings and found his EQ settings lowered the volume levels tremendously on this speaker. Oluvs EQ settings are: Studio, Indoor, Indoor+, Outdoor, Outdoor+, Boom XXX and, Ground 0. My favorite EQ settings so far is Outdoor + and, Ground 0. (See videos and listen with headphones to get the best audio experience.)
Overall I am impressed with this speaker just wish it would be able to pair with other EarFun speakers.

One of the most balanced speakers on the market By Drew Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2024

For the record, I own 17 Bluetooth speakers and follow the entire market of new ones coming out.
First thing to mention. Oluv knocked the tuning out of the park, even more than the Uboom L. This is by far the most neutrally tuned Boombox speaker I've ever come across in the "Studio" mode which was tuned to sound like a Neumann KH80. There's also Indoor, Indoor+, Outdoor, Outdoor+, BOOM xxX, and Ground 0 (for use outdoors when placed on the ground) modes selectable in the App which boost the bass and treble at the ends to different degrees. Myself and I think most people will prefer the Indoor (a little bass boost) and Indoor+ (more bass boost) modes the most, unless you're looking for a lot more bass where the Outdoor, Outdoor+ and BOOM xxX modes shine. The tuning does a really good job at not having the bass overwhelm the midrange detail which a lot of other speakers don't do very well. There's also a 10 band EQ if none of the presets are exactly to your taste.
It also does low level listening extremely well like the Uboom L, just with deeper bass due to the larger drivers. There's a lot of low volume steps in the Indoor and Indoor+ modes to find your perfect low volume level. All the other modes are more for louder outdoor use and have volume steps spaced more evenly across the mid to high volume ranges. It's really well thought out.
For those with a Uboom L, that speaker could be a little harsh in the treble as it was designed to be more neutral off axis so there's some treble boost when listening directly on axis. The Uboom X has much better off axis dispersion due to the real dome tweeters and doesn't have any boost in the Studio mode and just a slight boost in the Indoor modes and more in the Outdoor modes. The other issue with the Uboom L was at high volumes it would lose a ton of bass and wasn't that great outdoors. The Uboom X obviously due to its size and power goes a lot deeper and can hold on to more bass at higher volumes.
This speaker measures 10db down at around 38hz, so it goes deeper than the Blast and Boombox 3 and the same as the JBL Encore but not quite as deep as a Go+ Play 3.
This speaker will party mode with a total of 50 units, or can TWS in stereo with a 2nd unit. There's instructions in the manual for how to do each which requires a different pairing button press.
Also something that a lot of people will like, it charges over USB-C so you can use your smaller battery banks to keep it powered or charge it. It's also IP67 rated like most other speakers in the class and has a 30 hour battery life.
It's also noticeably lighter than the Stormbox Blast and much more comfortable to carry at 9.2lbs / 4.18kg (versus the 11.6lbs Blast). Another thing to note, the Stormbox Blast has a curve under the carrying handle which makes it want to fall out of your hand while this Uboom X has a flat bottom handle which stays in your hand better and is just overall more comfortable. The Uboom X also comes with a carrying strap and 2 metal loops to attach it to.
You're also able to either change the volume of the power on/power off beeps or shut them off completely in the app.
As for downsides, there's not many. It won't get quite as loud as a Boombox 3 or other higher powered speakers, and doesn't have quite as deep of bass as a Go+ Play 3, but with the amazing neutral tuning, I personally find this speaker to be my favorite. The lights can be a little cheezy, but it's really easy to turn them off. Also on that note, you can select any color you like for the lights in the app. Show Full Review
Best kept secret in the bluetooth speaker market. Highly recommended By Nick S. Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2025

Searched far and wide for a great bluetooth speaker and I'm so happy I settled on this one. This speaker hits on all of the things I was looking for and amazingly it gets 5 starts for everything (Price, Sound Quality, Thumping Bass, Portability, TWS, Great App).
I originally purchased 2 Soundcore Motion X600 speakers, but found that the bass was lacking and decided to return them. The UBOOM XL hits the sweet spot of really good sound quality with the option to crank the bass when you feel like jamming out. Only feature I wish it had was some type of backlit buttons to see in the dark. The plastic on the speaker does feel like it's a bit of a prototype, but as long as this unit puts out amazing sound like it does, it doesn't bother me.
I did purchase 2 units as I like to set them up in stereo pair and fill the room with audio. For the price, I HIGHLY suggest getting 2. I don't particularly need (or use) the party lights on the speakers, but you can easily turn them off. I do appreciate the AUX inputs in the back of the unit. I ended up getting some long AUX cables and run my projector to them to have high quality stereo sound for when we have movie night on the big screen. The speaker size is fairly large, but in order to achieve the sound quality out of this unit, it needs to be this size to push air around. If portability is a big concern, there are better/smaller options that fit in the suitcase for travel. For me, these speakers will just be moved around the house and outside at the occasional backyard bbq. Show Full Review
